ITINERARY*

Friday

4PM:

Wauchope

Meet and greet plus sign on.

(Accommodation and dinner not supplied on Friday night, however there are multiple motels and options within the Wauchope/Port Macquarie area. Contact us if you need help)

 

Saturday (approx. ~8hrs, 300kms)

Starting point:

Wauchope NSW

Breakfast:
Support a local café or bakery

(Coffee on high is recommended)

AM: 

We have an early start heading south west on the gravel to start ticking off our hidden gems. By 100kms we will already have seen beaches, our first waterfall, volcanic plugs and mountain lookouts over the coast.

Lunch:

Will be catered by ENDEAVOUR at a beautiful mountain campsite sitting right on an exclusive prime swimming hole and small waterfall.

 

PM: 

We keep heading west for some winding gravel and tar roads to tick off some epic mountain top views of the coastline and the oncoming mountain range we are climbing.

By the end of the day we will have ticked off 4 amazing waterfalls, two of which stopped first explorers such as John Oxley in his tracks and countless lookout points that are going to leave you in awe.

AM: 

Like waterfalls themselves today we will be running downhill all day. The day starts off weaving and winding through gravel roads and farm land that look like something out of a postcard. These gorges will literally pop out of nowhere so keep your eyes peeled.

 

Lunch:

Will be catered by ENDEAVOUR at a beautiful lookout overlooking one of Australia’s best waterfalls.

PM: 

After lunch we will continue on our gravel road blitz mixed with a little bit of tar to get us home on time. Wait up, don’t think its over yet… we still have several more waterfalls to tick off plus some hidden WWII ruins that will stop you and WWII army tanks in their tracks

Finally finishing our world class ride by dropping off the New England tablelands and finishing at the quaint town of Bellingen.

 

3PM Finish Point:

Bellingen NSW

*Route, distances and timings are subject to change due to varying circumstances e.g. inclement weather, National Park and Forestry closures, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Adventurous attitude!

  • Fully registered motorcycle 

  • Ambulance Cover

  • Current qualified licence

  • Fully equipped riding gear (we don’t stop for the rain or the cold, THIS IS ADVENTURE!!)

  • Minimum 2ltr hydration backpack

  • Any spare parts your motorcycle may need.

  • YOU MUST HAVE THE PHYSICAL ABILITY TO PICK YOUR MOTORCYCLE UP IF IT FALLS OVER

WHAT BIKE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • This tour is suited to all adventure style bikes that are capable on gravel and tar roads. It is possible to complete the tour on a four stroke enduro bike also (keep in mind fuel range, contact us with your questions as we have options)

  • This tour is predominantly gravel roads with as minimal tar as possible so be sure to have suitable tyres. Run road legal knobbies or rallye tyres if you like just don’t run pure road going tyres. MAKE SURE THEY ARE NEW OR VERY CLOSE TO NEW CONDITION

  • Your bike will need a MINIMUM FUEL RANGE OF 180KMS

 (if not ask about fuel transportation)

  • Full tank of fuel beginning of each day

  • Well maintained motorcycle capable of riding ~600kms on and off road

  • Phone/tablet cradle or clear tank bag with charging capabilities (either charging from the bike or power bank). Be sure to have a waterproof case for your phone or device. (As per NPWS and Forestry corp regulations we must use phones or contactable devices so we can change the route in an emergency situation and email to all participants on site)

WE USE HIGH QUALITY ACCOMODATION WITH PRIVATE PARKING-NO PUBS

SATURDAY NIGHT IS INLCUDED.

ACCOMODATION IS TWIN SHARE OR SINGLE ROOM.

CHOOSE YOUR SLEEPING PARTNER OR SHARE WITH A NEW ONE.

THIS MUST BE FINALISED BEFORE BOOKINGS CUT OFF

We do not provide accommodation for the Sunday night after the tour concludes but can assist.

  • Support vehicle will transport broken down motorcycles to finish point of that day for repair (major town). Unfortunately, due to practicality we cannot transport the rider and motorcycle the entire duration of the event.

  • First aid trained and equipped tour guides with satellite personal locator for emergency situations

  • FREE rider training and advice throughout the day!!

  • Hire bikes

  • Fuel, all of our routes have fuel point included (we carry 100L for emergency situations)

EVENT WEATHER

  • The weather during this time of year for the event is really quite nice.

  • The average temperature will hover between 26*C and 11*C.

TERRAINS YOUR GOING TO EXPERIENCE

  • This tour is predominantly gravel roads with as minimal tar as possible so be sure to have suitable tyres

  • Majority of the roads we will be using are big wide maintained gravel roads, additionally we will use some narrower roads in our more remote sections of the routes

  • There are no big hill climbs

  • There are no big river crossings

  • You will possibly get some wet boots from concrete causeways and the odd creek

  • As the east coast of Aus deals with La Nina there is a chance of some roads damage (both gravel and tar)

  • This tour is suited to all adventure style bikes that are capable on gravel and tar roads. It is possible to complete the tour on a four stroke enduro bike also (keep in mind fuel range)
