We sure do have a treat for everyone this morning!

It is winding gravel road Mecca, we spend the entire morning criss-crossing creeks and rivers with mountains and farming landscape as far as the eyes can see. We see an abandoned gold mining town and retrace part of first explorers John Oxley’s steps.

Just keep an eye out for livestock as we are travelling through working farms.

PM:

We start heading nth past an enormous water reservoir that holds the equivalent of about 40,000 Olympic swimming pools! Before we head back into our gravel road lust. We check out an epic mountain top lookout before we finish up travelling through a fully functioning cattle and sheep station.

Departure

AM:

Today’s run will be ‘gorgeous’ as we will be blitzing gravel roads through farmland with the added bonus of seeing some epic gorges and waterfalls that appear to come out of nowhere. Plus, some hidden gems from yester year!

We will be travelling through what was once bushranger country so best keep your wits about you.

Be mindful as your boots may get a little wet from the number of chilly water crossing we may encounter.

 Lunch:

Will be catered by ENDEAVOUR at a secluded remote waterfall.

(Fuel point)

PM:

This afternoon is a relatively cruisy one as we make our way back to Walcha via another enormous gorge and a mix of rural gravel and tar routes, though we do follow the path laid down by a historic bushranger during the 1800’s!

3PM Finish Point:

Walcha Motel
